CALGARY, AB: The Western Canadian Wheat Growers congratulates the Saskatchewan Party for their victory in the provincial election.
“We have enjoyed a strong relationship with government MLAs in the past and look forward to continue to build on this affiliation. The need for robust agriculture policy is imperative to ensure a strong Saskatchewan economy,” said Daryl Fransoo, Chair.
The Wheat Growers have focused their efforts on the issues that impact Saskatchewan grain farmers – international trade, carbon tax, transportation and rural broadband.
There are many mail-in ballots that remain to be counted and may change the final seat count.
“It takes many volunteers across all party lines to ensure that democracy works. Thanks to everyone for their participation. We now look forward to working with the government to find solutions to the challenges that grain farmers are experiencing,” closed Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel, Director.
