CALGARY, AB: The Western Canadian Wheat Growers offer congratulations to both CP Rail and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference for reaching an agreement to enter into binding arbitration and ending the current work stoppage.
“Canada’s rail system is crucial for our food security, maintaining and growing our economy and the movement of goods all across the country. All Canadians benefit from this agreement,” said Daryl Fransoo.
Congratulations are also due to Minister of Labour Seamus O’Regan and the Canadian Federal Conciliation and Mediation Services for their role in reaching this agreement.
