The Canadian canola industry is welcoming the news that China will be slashing its tariff on certain canola products. The announcement was made after the Canadian government said it too would slash tariffs on Chinese made EVs. Stephen Vandervalk is a canola farmer out by Fort Macleod, Alberta. He is also the past president of the Grain Growers of Canada. Vandervalk recently chatted with me on Forum Daily News about how producers are cautiously optimistic with this new Canada-China trade deal.
