Born and raised in southern Alberta, Barrt’s passion for farming has been evident throughout his life. Having spent eight years as a member of the Lethbridge Coaldale 4H beef club, Barrt developed valuable skills and a profound understanding of the industry. In the spring of 2023, he graduated from the Lethbridge College agriculture-business program, equipped with knowledge to contribute to the sector’s growth. Currently employed by a cattle and irrigated crop operation spanning Coaldale and Lethbridge, Barrt recognizes the importance of connecting the agricultural community with various levels of government. His aspiration to be actively involved in bridging this gap led him to our mentorship program, viewing it as the perfect opportunity to initiate meaningful connections and contribute to the advancement of the agriculture industry.
