On behalf of the Wheat Growers Association, we are pleased to be hosting a panel discussion in conjunction with a luncheon to coincide with Agri-Trade on November 8th.
We have compiled an impressive group of industry advocates from both sides of the Canadian-US border. We anticipate discussion on a wide range of topics including USMCA and grain movement across the border, varietal registration, classes/grading, how breeding investment is encouraged, and why farmers on both sides of the border should work together.

- US Wheat Associates: Collin Watters, Executive Vice President from the Montana Wheat and Barley Committee.
- National Association of Wheat Growers: Gordon Stoner, Past President National Association 2017 and involved in the Canadian/US grain grading file.
- Limagrain: Jim Peterson, Vice President of Research, US and Canada experience, breeder and commercial manager, working to influence changes in cereal seed value extraction business models to encourage more breeding.
- Western Canadian Wheat Growers: Gunter Jochum, Wheat Growers Director and Manitoba farmer.
The discussion will be moderated by Shaun Haney of RealAgriculture. Shaun resides in Picture Butte, AB where he is very active in managing his family seed business. In 2008 he founded the www.RealAgriculture.com which focuses on providing Canadian farmers with the latest in agriculture information and news.
