2022 Annual Convention

November 14 - November 16

75$

Encore! 50th Anniversary Convention

First we tried in March 2020. Then again in November 2020. And we all know what 2021 was like.

It’s finally time to once again dust off your boots, pack your bags and visit with peers while expanding your ag knowledge at our annual Convention.

We’re excited to be hosting the Convention in Nashville, a city rich in music, history, culture and agriculture. We’ll have lots of fun events planned, but consider extending your stay to make it a vacation. We’ve provided links to website resources to help plan your stay.

Agenda & Guest Speakers

We are in the early stages of planning so the agenda and speakers are not yet confirmed. However, our survey tells us that our members are most interested in learning opportunities regarding trade and agronomy.

Why We Chose Nashville

We choose carefully when looking at the options for convention locations. We set the dates outside of the crop season and look for educational agricultural opportunities that would not be available to our members otherwise. In the past we’ve held our conventions in Vancouver with a deep dive into the transportation issues of the rail/shipping corridor; Washington,DC with an emphasis on international trade; New Orleans looked at the transportation and supply chain with the Mississippi River and all the strategic port facilities for fertilizer and chemicals; and in Orlando attendees took in the AgConnect Trade Show.

Nashville has a variety of agriculture educational opportunities; equipment, farming techniques, and suppliers for instance. Not to mention the entertainment aspect of the location.

Many of our members build a winter vacation around our convention and we negotiate better rates with the host hotel pre- and post-convention. This appeals to many.

While we appreciate with the pandemic travel requirements, some members may not be able to attend and for that we’re sympathetic. However, the results from our survey showed an overwhelming support for Nashville as our venue for the 2022 Wheat Growers Annual Convention.

We hope we’ll see you there!
