The Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association is a farm advocacy organization dedicated to developing ag policy solutions that strengthen the profitability and sustainability of farming and the agricultural industry.
We are also a not-for-profit organization and our leadership comes from a dedicated volunteer Board of farmers based in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Being a Director is a great way to become involved and have a say in how we advocate as an Association on behalf of all farmers.
Responsibilities include advocating on behalf of grain farmers, working with the Board of Directors, monthly virtual board meetings, semi-annual in-person meetings, and regular inter-Board communications. Time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours a month. An annual Wheat Growers Farmer Membership is required.
