Margaret farms near Langbank where she grows winter wheat, spring wheat, barley and canola in partnership with her brother and cousin. Her main roles include grain marketing, risk management, administration, finance and accounting. Margaret now makes her home with her husband, Rob Rigetti, on his farm between Regina and Moose Jaw where they grow durum, canola and lentils.
Margaret attended the University of Saskatchewan and received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1996. Prior to returning to the family farm at Langbank in 2001, Margaret worked as an environmental consultant in the Alberta petroleum industry. Margaret is the current Saskatchewan VP of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association (WCWGA) and serves as the WCWGA’s Director at Grain Growers of Canada (GGC). Margaret has also served in the community as a member of the school council committee and director on the local Co-op Board.
